If you'd like more information, here's more about my work: My evidence-based treatment methods are both verbal (IFS or Internal Family Systems) and non-verbal (Creative Art and Sand Play Therapy). As the language of children is play, I work with children using Play Therapy. I enjoy working with women and men of all ages as well as children, teens and collegiates (and supporting parents). It is important to remember that true healing can only come through accessing emotions and experiences that trauma often buries within us. Words, memories, and verbal expressions of feelings are often inaccessible after trauma. Treatment methods that don't rely on just talk & analysis are often most effective for safely working through trauma to deeper healing and wholeness. I specialize in Art Therapy and working with Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse. I also have experience in issues related to child custody, divorce, trauma, breast cancer, depression, and grief. My experience includes 18 years working in our schools with children and young adults (preschool through college). I focused on issues related to: self-esteem, body image, self-harm, anxiety, depression, substance abuse and Prevention. I offer parents guidance in navigating the Special Education System in our schools and colleges, to assure students receive special accommodations and services if needed.
